Easy & pretty brown paper gift wrap

We are always looking for new ideas to wrap our Christmas gifts. There are a lot of fancy and colored paper rolls out there, but I have a weakness for simple brown paper, you can see also a bag I made with brown paper! It's a plain canvas and any decoration will stand out over it. Today I made faux berries with mini pom poms and I added a small piece of rosmary to the wrap.

Gift ideas for crafters

If you've been reading this blog for a while you may have noticed that many of my tutorials require a little or no specific tools. In most glue is a must, sometimes I used a sewing machine, but we also made together necklaces from plastic gum bottles, a bracelet with rocks from the garden, earrings with nail polish and blow drier and so on. It's fun to pick random things around the house and transform them in something wearable.  Many of the tools below aren't strictly necessary, but they will make the life of a crafter easier, so if you're looking for a gift idea for your crafty friend, you can consider the list below.  You can gift a sewing tool to a seamstress or surprise her with a decoupage kit and open to her a new world of possibilities and maybe she discovers a new hobby. Crafters are curious and are always looking for new ways to challenge their creativity.  By the way, you lovely readers are all crafters too, so check the list below to see if there's something you can add to your set of tools.

Gift wrapping with fashion magazines

creative gift wrapping ideas, christmas gift wrapping, paper crafts,

Fashion magazines have so many beautiful photographs that you'll be tempted to use them for a craft project one day or another. I reused a fashion lookbook made with an opaque paper to make an unusual gift wrapping.
Once wrapped, only part of the image will be visible and textures and colors will be predominant. One catalogue is enough to make all the packages different from each other. If a gift needs a bigger piece of paper you can stick two pages together or just use a page from the middle of the catalogue. I made the bow with simple cord.
