The Fendi  new baguette bag is covered with beads and sequins. When I saw the colored version I thought that it would be fun to make a DIY version of it using small colored buttons. You can look for shirt buttons in your stash or buy them in bulk on internet, they're pretty inexpensive.

La nuova baguette di Fendi è ricoperta di paillettes e perline. La versione colorata ci offre lo spunto per un divertente fai da te: perchè non decorare una borsetta con dei piccoli bottoni? I bottoni per camicie andranno benissimo, cercateli nela vostra scatola del cucito o comprateli in stock su internet li troverete a prezzi vantaggiosi.

Some years ago animal prints were sinonymous of an eccentric style. Nowadays leopard prints are a must have for women of any age. I would like to suggest you go deeper in the jungle and get inspired by python prints. These exotic leathers are sinonymous of luxe and exclusivity (and painful prices) so you have to get yourself a snakeskin accessory chic girl!
Today I'll show how to make a snakeskin clutch with a placemat found at zara home. You can find placemats of any material. If you don't find the one you like you can replace it with a piece of vinyl or leather 35x50 cm.
We'll give a full trasformation to the placemat. For the shape of the clutch I took inspiration from Alexander McQueen  de manta clutch. 

For the Clutch you'll need:

• a placemat (or a 50x35 cm piece of leather)
• 28 pyramid studs
• 2 zippers 14cm each
• 2 automatic buttons 
• glue

The playful clear bag filled with loose flowers DIY

 Maybe trees are not in bloom yet but I still want to carry spring spirit with me today. Anticipating the start of the warm seasons (and spring trends) I DIY -ed this bag filled with bright colored flowers. It's a jelly bag with a playful feel, in fact I inserted into the back of the bag some loose flowers that move freely as we walk. Basically the pattern of the bag changes continuously! Forse dovremo attendere ancora molto l'arrivo delle stagioni calde ma non ho potuto fare a meno di aggiungere un tocco di colore al mio guardaroba realizzando questa borsetta decorata con fiori dai colori sgargianti. L'idea è quella di creare un accessorio giocoso: il retro della borsetta è infatti riempito di fiori che sono liberi di muoversi, realizzando quindi una borsa la cui stampa varia continuamente. What if sidereal space was a jewel?

The diamond is something perfect both for its brightness and cut. The necklace was born to emphasize the shape of a diamond, a stone bright as the stars. It is set at the centre with four mirrors reflecting its light around the space. They give a tridimensional dimension to the necklace and they look a little bit like solar panels.
The inspiration is both the sidereal space and the future. The bracelet is obtained with the repetition of a simple shape and it reflects all the rainbow colors when explose to the light.

Il diamante è la perfezione: per lucentezza e taglio. La collana nasce con l'idea di dare risalto alla forma del diamante,una pietra luminosa come le stelle. E' posto al centro della collana con quattro specchi che ne riflettono la luce. Danno tridimensionalità alla struttura e l'aspetto di un satellite. L'ispirazione è sia lo spazio profondo che il futuro. Il bracciale è ottenuto come ripetizione di un elemento base e riflette i colori dell'arcobaleno quando è esposto alla luce. Che ne pensate?

I think that the Prada banana print looks like the bananas are popping out of the fabric so I wanted to make this effect real and I decided to do a fun bag with "banana fringes".

 Guardando la stampa di Prada,le banane sembrano proprio venir fuori dalla stoffa! Ho deciso divertirmi a rendere questo effetto reale e a confezionare una borsetta con le banane a mo di frange.

DIY idea: rubber keyboard bag

A rubber keyboards is available to buy for ten euros. You just have to fold it in half, glue the bottom and the side and then add a zipper. Punch the rubber  to add the strap and in five minutes the bag is done!

DIY idea: palette bag

Could you treat a Balenciaga bag this way? Well Louise Ingalls Sturges did and turned the famous bag into
the palette of an artist. Roughly treated and worn but customized for sure. It inspires me because the painting looks random, unplanned like it has been made following a creative raptus.

Ridurreste così una borsa di Balenciaga? Beh Louise Ingalls Sturges l'ha fatto e ha trasformato la famosa borsa in una tavolozza d'artista. Potrebbe essere la borsa di un'artista maltrattata e usata, sicuramente personalizzata. Mi piace perchè le pennellate sono casuali, pasticciate come se la borsa fosse stata dipinta seguendo un raptus creativo.

 mix the color with water and dip the lace into it: this is going to be messy so use a pair of gloves

squeeze the excess out and put the fabric to dry over a newspaper

mischiate l'acqua al colore e immergeteci il pizzo; strizzate poi il pizzo rimuovendo l'eccesso di colore

vi consiglio di indossare i guanti

 here's the dried lace,it mantains its flexibility (if you want you can spray it with a sealer)

dilute the acrylic color only a little to obtain a really saturated color

ecco il pizzo asciutto se volete potete fissare il colore con uno stray plastificante

per ottenere un colore vivace diluite il colore con poca acqua

sew the orange lace over a black piece of fabric

fold the fabric in half leaving the lace on the inside and sew along the edges obtaining the bag shape

add a zipper at the top 

attach a piece of rope to the zipper puller and you've done!

piegate la stoffa a metà lasciando il pizzo all'interno e fate due cuciture ai lati ottenendo la borsetta

aggiungete una zip sul lato aperto

potete legare una corda al cursore della zip per indossare la borsa al polso e la borsa è completata!

Christopher Kane clutches are colorful and fun,perfect for summer! They're made of laser cutted leather obtaining an effect that gives the illusion of lace!

To own a similar clutch i've painted a piece of white lace in orange and crafted a simple clutch!

 To make one you'll need only a small piece of white lace and black fabric, remainder pieces will be fine!

My clutch is 27cmx17cm.

Le borsette colorate pensate da Christopher Kane sono perfette per l'estate! Sono in pelle tagliata al laser creando l'illusione del pizzo. Per farne una simile basterà tingere del pizzo bianco con del colore acrilico e poi sovrapporlo ad una stoffa nera.

 La borsetta che ho realizzato è 27cmx17cm.

Ho modellato il muso della pantera e le zampe con una pasta acrilica

i've painted the box in black and then i've covered it with glitters

ho dipinto la borsa di nero e poi l'ho spolverata di glitter

i've painted and glittered the pieces and i've glued the crystals one by one

ho dipinto e coperto di glitter anche muso e zampe e poi le ho decorate attaccando i cristalli uno ad uno
I've added some fabric to be able to open up the bag and then i've added two hooks made of metallic wire to add the strap
I've added a big red tassel also decorated with glitters and crystals.

Ho aggiunto due triangoli di stoffa per facilitare l'apertura della borsa e due ganci modellati con il filo di ferro per attaccare la catenella. Ho infine aggiunto una grande nappina rossa anch'essa decorata con glitter e cristalli.

For the special night of Firenze4ever i wanted my clutch to communicate luxury and uniqueness,i wanted a bag over the top and this took me to imagine a shiny clutch and a panther snapping at it. It all started with very raw materials:a wooden box,a bottle of acrylic color,glitters and strass i hope i managed to make them special.


Per la serata speciale di Firenze4ever volevo che la mia borsa fosse lussuosa e scintillante, una borsa sopra le righe e questo mi ha portato ad immaginare una borsa luccicante e una pantera che l'azzanna come fosse una preda. Tutto è stato realizzato partendo da una materia prima molto semplice:una scatola di legno,del colore acrilico,glitter e cristalli.

DIY idea: the feather clutch

Look how cute is this feather clutch! It would be cool to decorate a bag we already own with some feathers! Feathers are sold sewed on trims or we can take them out of a feather boa and glue them onto the clutch making several layers.

Che carina questa borsetta decorata con le piume! Possiamo realizzarne una attaccando delle piume su una borsetta che già possediamo. Sono vendute attaccate su delle striscie di stoffa o possiamo staccarle da un boa di piume e incollarle sulla borsa,troverete tutto in vendita in merceria.

• silver thread
• 2 meters of chain to make the strap

avrete bisogno di:

• tovagliette americane di paglia
• nastro di raso per decorare la pattina
• grosgrain
• perline e paiettes
• filo argentato
• 2 metri di catena dorata per la tracolla
• occhielli

Sew all the pieces leaving the fringes on the outside
cucite tutti i pezzi lasciando sporgere le frangie

i've boughts some meters of satin ribbons to decorate the flap, this way it will shine under the light
i've chosen 2 different tones of blue and then a shiny silver one

ho comprato qualche metro di nastrini di raso per decorare la pattina ho scelto due tonalità di celeste e un filo argentato
i've weaved the silk ribbon into the straw flap with the help of a pin used as a replacement of the needle;i've alterned the colors.
Then i've added the silver ribbon onto the body of the bag and sides too.

Ho intrecciato il filo nella trama della borsa con l'aiuto di uno spillo che sostituisce l'ago

In this pic you can see the different ribbons inserted into the texture of the flap.

To keep every ribbon in place i've handstitched a quilted pattern with a silver shiny thread and i've added some random beads.

qui potete vedere i nastrini inseriti nella paglia.
Per tenere tutti i nastri al loro posto ho ricamato a mano una trapunta con il filo argentato e ho aggiunto qualche perlina qua e là


now to add more details i've used a gros grain ribbon and i've handstiched onto it some beads and sequins and little pieces cut from the placemats with the silver thread.
Then i've placed the gros grain border onto the flap of the bag.

per aggiungere ulteriori dettagli ho decorato un nastro di gros grain con perline e paiettes e piccoli pezzettini di paglia,ho cucito il bordo di gros grain sul davanti

now it's time to put the bag together, i've sewn the flap onto the body of the bag then i've added the eyelets needed to add the chain strap.

per mettere insieme la borsa infine bisogna cucire la pattina sul corpo della borsa,aggiungere gli occhielli per attaccare la tracolla

then i've weaved a blue satin ribbon into the chain strap and the bag it's finished!
This bag required a lot of work but as you can see its beauty it's all in the details.

Ho intrecciato un filo di raso anche nella catenella e la borsa è finalmente finita.
Questa borsa ha richiesto molto lavoro ma come potete vedere sono proprio i dettagli a renderla preziosa.

Little straw bag DIY

The inspiration

Here's my lasted diy! A straw bag is perfect for summer but it doesn't necessarily have to be that giant bag we carry at the beach, it can be an elegant small bag to carry during the day made precious with beads and silver wire. This bag is made out of what we call in Italy "american tablecloths" but i'm sure that is not their name in America. They are small tablecloths suitable to set the table for one person. As soon as i saw them they remainded me of the famous boucle fabric used so much by Chanel so at that point the idea of the bag came on its own.

Questa borsetta è il mio ultimo progetto,cosa c'è di meglio di una borsetta di paglia per l'estate? Ma non deve essere necessariamente il borsone da mare, può essere una borsetta arricchita di perline e fili preziosi così da diventare una borsetta da giorno ma elegante. Potete credere che sia fatta con delle tovagliette americane in paglia?
Appena le ho viste mi hanno ricordato il tessuto di tweed così amato dalla maison Chanel e a quel punto l'idea della borsa ha preso forma da sola. Che ne dite?

Chanel bags are iconic and classic,you can spot one on the streets a mile away because the one every fashionista dreams to have is black,quilted and with the gold double c logo on the front. What is so recognizable can become boring for the person that is constantly searching for something new.
But look how particular is this bag, it's a painted Chanel bag,so unique!
So why not try to paint a bag we own to make it customized and special? I bet acrylic colors will work fine.


Lo sappiamo, le borse Chanel sono dei classici intramontabili e sono sicura che ognuna di voi è in grado di riconoscerne una anche ad un miglio di distanza perchè la borsa che ogni appassionata di moda vuole avere è nera,trapuntata con il logo dorato della doppia c come chiusura. A volte classico può voler dire inflazionato ma guardate questa borsa personalizzata,sembra dipinta ad acquarello! Perchè allora non provare a dipingere una borsa che abbiamo e renderla unica? Che aspettate?Comprate i colori acrilici e datevi da fare!

DIY inspiration:the crystal bag

Crystal bags look like precious jewels. If we want to carry one of them during a special night wiithout going broke we can cover a bag we already own with crystals.
Of course we can't glue them one by one but fortunately we can buy in shops self adhesive clear sheets of paper all covered with rhinestones. They're usually used to decorate cellphones or the back of notebooks and they come in different colors and patterns and i think they'll work fine on bags too. They can be easily cut, all we have to do is to peel the protective cover and stick them whetever we like!

Le pochette coperte di cristalli sembrano dei piccoli gioielli. Per averne una senza dover vuotare il portafoglio (sennò poi che ci mettiamo nella borsa?) possiamo coprire di brillantini una borsa che già abbiamo. Attaccarne uno per uno sarebbe impossibile, per fortuna esistono in commercio dei fogli trasparenti adesivi già decorati con i cristalli. Sono usati per decorare le cover di cellulari o dei computer ma niente ci vieta di incollarli su una borsetta! Si vendono di tutti i colori e anche con diverse fantasie. I fogli si possono ritagliare facilmente e poi basta togliere la pellicola protettiva e incollarli dove volete!
